“Cozumel’s Stunning Transformation: New Municipal Projects Unveiled Soon!”

Cozumel, Q. Roo.- The municipal government, under the leadership of Juanita Alonso Marrufo, is steadfast in its commitment to advancing infrastructure development on the island. Several projects are currently in progress across the city, while the unveiling of recently completed projects is being planned.

Carlos Daniel Pomol Gómez, the Director of Public Works, stated that they will proceed with the unveiling of completed projects that had been delayed due to the electoral period. These unveilings are set to take place in the coming days, including the domes installed at various public schools across the island.

Gómez announced that 2024 will see the commencement of significant projects in Cozumel. These include the installation of a dome at a sports facility, the refurbishment of the stands at the Independence Sports Unit, and the enhancement of the tennis courts at the Bicentennial Sports Unit.

This year will also see the realization of a long-standing request from the local skating club – the construction of a roller rink. This project will fulfill the aspirations of many skating enthusiasts on the island.

Lastly, Gómez emphasized that renovation efforts at the Revolution Sports Unit will continue, with a focus on improving the soccer field, a popular spot for fans to watch their favorite teams. Through these initiatives, the government aims to encourage sports participation and promote healthy family interaction in Cozumel.
