Notorious ‘Death Squadron’ Member Dies on Tulum Street

A man, believed to be in his fifties and a member of the notorious "Death Squadron," died on the streets of Tulum. It's reported that he sought medical help at the IMSS-Welfare hospital but was allegedly turned away. The tragic incident unfolded around 5:00 PM, following a 911 call about a man convulsing on a main street.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene, but by the time paramedics arrived, the man was already dead. Municipal Public Security officers then reported the incident to the State Attorney General's Office, who are responsible for this municipality. They arrived to collect the body and initiate the necessary investigations.

Eyewitnesses claim that the man had visited the IMSS-Welfare hospital the previous day due to ill health. However, he allegedly did not receive adequate care and was sent home. His condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to his death the following afternoon.

The man was known locally as a member of the "Death Squadron," a group notorious for their excessive alcohol consumption. Many of its members have tragically lost their lives to diseases such as cirrhosis or alcohol poisoning.
