Efforts to remove rubble and verify properties have also contributed to reducing the mosquito population. The Othón P. Blanco Municipal Council has confirmed that they are conducting cleaning campaigns in parks and reserves, despite the rainfall. These efforts aim to prevent overgrown vegetation from becoming a problem for the community.
The public is also being encouraged to maintain clean yards and take advantage of dry periods to remove potential mosquito breeding sites, such as tires, dishes, and buckets.
