Despite the global trend towards dehumanization, the municipality of Solidaridad in Quintana Roo is charting a different course, one that prioritizes humanism. The strategy focuses on making people the heart of public policies and creating a society where everyone has the opportunity to live fully and justly.

In a meeting with 250 volunteers from the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) in Solidaridad, municipal president Estefanía Mercado encouraged them to help transform DIF into a model of empathy, dedication, and results. The goal is to contribute to a more just and humane municipality.

Mercado emphasized that DIF is not just a government institution, but the heart of the government. It's a place where children can believe in their limitless potential, women can find a supportive network, and the elderly can live with dignity and respect. People with disabilities can also rely on DIF to help them overcome any obstacles they face.

The commitment is to work for the most vulnerable and ensure that DIF provides care marked by sensitivity, empathy, and affection.

During the inauguration of Eduardo Asencio, his youth was highlighted as a potential asset to the institution. With the support of Jesús Rodríguez at the municipal directorate, this marks a new chapter for DIF Solidaridad.

Asencio pledged to work for vulnerable groups and to ensure that everyone who comes to DIF is treated with love and sensitivity. He said, "Behind each person there is a story, a problem, or an anxiety that needs addressing. Here, we don't see numbers, we don't manage procedures, we transform lives. Our commitment is that every action is driven by the passion to change lives and offer hope."
