The Mexican Caribbean is ushering in a fresh chapter of tourism in the summer of 2024 with the "Discover The New Era" campaign. This initiative, led by the Quintana Roo Tourist Promotion Council, aims to spotlight the unique experiences available across the 12 destinations within the state of Quintana Roo. The campaign combines the rich Mayan culture with innovative tourism proposals, catering to both national and international visitors.

The campaign's goal is to blend the region's abundant cultural heritage with the excitement and convenience of modern tourism. It encourages visitors to delve into the awe-inspiring archaeological remnants of ancient civilizations. Tours offer not only a visual feast of architectural splendor but also a profound understanding of regional history. Destinations like Dzibanché, Kinichna, Chacchoben, Kohunlich, and the soon-to-open Ichkabal are perfect for those passionate about culture and Mayan heritage.

Sustainable tourism is a key component of this initiative. Quintana Roo is dedicated to offering responsible experiences that respect and conserve the environment and local communities. Visitors can partake in ecotourism, visit nature reserves, participate in flora and fauna conservation programs, and even assist in protection and release activities during the sea turtle nesting season. These activities allow tourists to appreciate nature in a conscious and harmonious manner.

The New Era of Tourism in the Mexican Caribbean also caters to a diverse range of interests. Adventure seekers can indulge in a variety of water sports, from diving in Cozumel's stunning coral reefs, snorkeling in Tulum's clear cenotes, to kitesurfing on Cancún's sunny beaches.

The region's cultural offerings are equally enticing. Visitors can immerse themselves in local festivals, join craft workshops, and savor the delectable regional cuisine that skillfully merges traditional techniques and modern influences. For food connoisseurs, Michelin-starred restaurants like Le Chique in Puerto Morelos, Há in Hotel Xcaret México, and Cocina de Autor Riviera Maya offer unforgettable culinary experiences. The vibrant nightlife, featuring clubs, bars, and shows, promises memorable evenings.

The 12 destinations in Quintana Roo, including internationally acclaimed locations like Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Cozumel, as well as hidden gems like Isla Mujeres, Costa Mujeres, Holbox, Chetumal, Bacalar, and Mahahual, are ready to welcome global tourists. Each location boasts its own distinct charm and features, ensuring unforgettable experiences for all.
