A man named Matthew, who held both Mexican and Canadian citizenship, was tragically killed in a shooting incident this Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Xaman Ha Plaza, which is situated adjacent to the exclusive Playacar complex.

Two men on a motorcycle approached Matthew while he was in his black van and subsequently shot him multiple times. Unofficial police sources have indicated that Matthew was under an international search warrant for alleged involvement in arms and human trafficking. This information could potentially shed light on the motive behind the attack.

The assailants, who were on a motorcycle, caught their victim off guard in his vehicle and fired multiple shots. Forensic experts discovered at least 15 shell casings at the crime scene, indicating the severity of the assault.

The incident caused widespread panic among the visitors at the bustling shopping plaza. Upon hearing the gunshots, people sought safety in nearby establishments. Municipal police quickly arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area while forensic services staff gathered evidence.
