“Get Your ID Card on Isla Mujeres: INE Citizen Service Module Arrives!”

Residents of Isla Mujeres municipality can look forward to the arrival of the National Electoral Institute's (INE) Citizen Service Module. This service is designed to assist with all procedures related to ID cards, which previously necessitated a trip to Cancún.

Many residents are curious whether they will be able to collect their ID cards during the module's visits to the island, or if they will still need to travel to the neighboring city, the head of electoral district 3.

The INE module will be available every Friday starting from July 26 and throughout August. It will be located at the Community Center of the La Gloria neighborhood in Isla Mujeres.

For those on the mainland, the service module will be at the Community Center from Monday 05 to Thursday 08 and from Monday 19 to Thursday 22 of August. Operating hours for both locations will be from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

With the arrival of the service module, citizens can collect their previously processed credentials and carry out all types of procedures. These include plastic renewal, reprinting, change of address, and obtaining a credential for the first time.

To carry out these procedures or replace their credential, the INE requests original copies of a valid official identification document with a photograph, a birth certificate, and proof of address no more than three months old. The proof of address should include the street name, block, lot, name of the neighborhood, municipality, and state.
