Eugenia León, a renowned artist, will be performing at the first anniversary celebration of the Grand Park La Plancha. The event is organized by the Government of the State of Yucatán, through the Secretariat of Culture and the Arts. León will be joined by the Yukalpetén Typical Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Pedro Herrera. The performance will take place in the park's amphitheater, as a tribute to the region's cultural identity and its expression through Yucatecan trova music.

This event will serve as a bridge, connecting new generations with their predecessors through lyrical and musical expression. It will highlight the vibrancy and relevance of the region's culture, with a focus on the vision of the Maya Renaissance. The State Government, in collaboration with the Grand Park La Plancha Administration, is organizing this event as part of Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena's initiative to promote cultural and artistic expressions in public spaces.

The performance will feature melodies that are part of Yucatán's cultural heritage, such as El pájaro azul by Pepe Domínguez, La Fuente by Pastor Cervera, Mi ciudad by Guadalupe Trigo, Semejanzas by Ricardo Palmerín, as well as Contigo aprendí and Como yo te amé by Armando Manzanero. These songs will be performed by León in collaboration with the Yukalpetén Typical Orchestra, a cornerstone of the state's musical heritage.

In addition to the tribute to Yucatán, León will also perform some pieces from her own repertoire, accompanied by her Quintet. The concert, scheduled for November 28th at 8:00 PM, will be held at the Amphitheater of the Grand Park La Plancha. Admission is free.

León's tribute is a testament to her deep connection with the music and authors of Yucatán. Her voice and stage presence, honed over half a century in the industry, have earned her recognition as one of the 50 most influential women in Mexico, according to Forbes. She is also a winner of the OTI Festival in 1985 and the Latin Grammy for Musical Excellence in 2016.

León's performance with the Yukalpetén Typical Orchestra promises to be a momentous occasion, celebrating the stories and identity of the region through its rich musical culture. The event will take place on November 28, with free admission, at 8:00 PM in the Amphitheater Grand Park La Plancha.
