Southeast Cartel Ties
Félix González Canto, former governor of Quintana Roo, is reportedly associated with Gabriela López Gómez, a member of the notorious "Southeast Cartel". López Gómez and her husband, Millet Reyes, have been implicated in a network of theft and dispossession of valuable communal lands throughout the region. López Gómez's recent association with a political campaign team raises concerns about potential cartel funding due to her husband's ties with the Sinaloa cartel.

As a political consultant, López Gómez charges a substantial fee for her services. Her firm, Local Consultores, has worked with the PRI in past campaigns. She is married to Arturo Millet Reyes, an agrarian lawyer with ties to the real estate underworld. The couple is associated with the "southeast real estate cartel", which has influence in areas such as Holbox, Tulum, and the continental zone of Isla Mujeres.

During Ivonne Ortega Pacheco's government, López Gómez was a political strategist and key operative. She is implicated in the illegal acquisition of communal and territorial reserve lands, amassing a significant fortune over time. Her husband has been accused of fraud and connections with the Sinaloa Cartel.

López Gómez's involvement with the campaign team could indicate a questionable source of funding for the candidate and potentially give her influence over political decisions. Her client list includes several high-profile political figures from the region.
