Jaguar Park in Tulum has quickly become a must-visit destination.

Spanning over a thousand hectares, Jaguar Park is a massive project that received an investment of over 2,659 million pesos. The park’s primary goal is to safeguard and conserve the jaguar population. It is designed to regulate, manage, and integrate various activities, all while promoting nature conservation through cultural, recreational, and tourist attractions that have minimal environmental impact.

The park boasts a museum, seven public beach entrances, two lookout points, service modules, a traditional smoke kitchen, and a connection to the Maya Train station. The Tulum Archaeological Zone has also been expanded with an additional 2 kilometers of routes, providing visitors with even more stunning views and exploration opportunities.

The project also includes a 2-kilometer bike path, a perimeter fence, and two service modules. Additional amenities include an electric bus station, visitor centers, a forum, pedestrian and animal crossings, an observation tower, and administrative and service areas.

However, with the inauguration of Jaguar Park, managed by GAFSACOMM and CONANP, visitors can expect to pay higher fees to access the beaches, protected areas, and the archaeological zone of Tulum. This price increase has been met with some criticism, as the total cost for access can sometimes exceed $600 pesos.

As of December 3, 2024, the entrance fees for Jaguar Park are as follows for domestic visitors:

  • Basic entry (CONANP): $80 MXN
  • Additional fee (Jaguar Park): $195 MXN
  • Access to the archaeological zone: $90 MXN
    Total: $365 MXN
