The alert was raised at approximately 12:00 p.m. on February 1st, when an explosion was reported within the hotel complex. Firefighters and the Municipal Police of Benito Juarez were quick to arrive on the scene, securing the area and initiating control and assistance procedures.

The National Guard was also dispatched to the scene, although access to the hotel is currently pending approval from hotel management. Preliminary reports from authorities confirm that there have been no injuries or fatalities. Despite rumors circulating on social media suggesting fatalities, official sources have denied these claims, reassuring that the situation is under control and no fatalities have occurred.

The incident at the Xcaret Mexico Hotel also prompted an investigation by the State Attorney General's Office (FGE). The FGE has begun proceedings to determine the cause of the explosion. Expert investigators are currently analyzing the damage and collecting evidence to help understand the event's origins.

Additional fire units have arrived on the scene to bolster security operations. The area surrounding the hotel has been cordoned off as authorities take necessary precautions to prevent further incidents. An official statement from the FGE detailing the explosion's scope and providing more information on the ongoing investigations is expected in the coming hours.

In the meantime, the hotel's guests and employees are receiving support from security and civil protection services to ensure their safety and well-being.
