In a recent operation by the State Attorney General's Office, a man known as "Fiscalito", real name Jesús “N”, was apprehended in Tulum. He is suspected to be involved in the murders of at least 14 individuals, four of whom were related to members of the Searching Mothers collective.
Early investigations have tied Jesús “N” to the murders of at least 14 people. Among the victims were Juan “N” and Luis Ángel “N”, who vanished on September 10, 2023, in Puerto Aventuras, Solidaridad county. Furthermore, he is implicated in the disappearance and subsequent murder of Luis Fernando “N”, last seen on December 29, 2023, in Tulum, and Manuel Antonio “N”, who disappeared on February 10 of this year, also in Tulum.
The arrest of Jesús “N” was the result of diligent fieldwork, cabinet, and technology investigations conducted by the Investigation Police, who are part of the Specialized Office in Combating Homicide Crime.
Investigations suggest that "Fiscalito" was a hitman and driver for a criminal organization operating in Tulum. This group is involved in the local drug trade, and their activities have significantly contributed to the area's violence.
The Prosecutor's Office is continuing its investigations to determine the full extent of the crimes and any potential links Jesús “N” may have to other crimes in the region. In the meantime, Jesús “N” has been handed over to the relevant authorities to face legal proceedings.
