A new condominium complex featuring 114 studios is under construction in Playa del Carmen. The property, located at the intersection of Avenida 10 and Calle 6 Norte, just two blocks from the beach, was formerly the site of government offices.

The property was sold during the administration of Roberto Borge, but it wasn't until the demolition of the old Capa offices that the Government of Quintana Roo confirmed the sale. It's worth noting that it was during Borge's administration that the drinking water supply of Solidaridad was granted to Aguakan.

The new condominium complex, named Solar Playa Studios, is already under construction. Permits for the construction work are visibly posted at the site, indicating that the license for the project was issued on February 17 and is valid until November 19 of this year.

Previously, the site housed the headquarters of Capa, the Water and Sewerage Commission, in Playa del Carmen. The offices were relocated to a building on Calle 50 with Avenida Constituyentes, leaving the original property vacant. This prime location will soon be reintroduced to the real estate market as a residential condominium complex.
