Violence continues in the irregular zones of Playa del Carmen, as the bodies of three men and a woman were discovered in the Vida y Esperanza community, located northwest of the city. All four individuals had previously been reported missing.

The discovery was made at 6:30 pm, when a 911 call was placed from the community, which is situated behind the town of Nuevo Noh Bec. The group who found the bodies had to travel some distance before they could get a signal to contact the authorities.

The report reveals that the four deceased individuals had been missing for several days and were residents of Vida y Esperanza. Upon receiving the report, members of the Municipal Police formed a convoy and entered the location to confirm the grim discovery. Once verified, they cordoned off the area and called for the State Prosecutor's Office.

A police source suggested that the victims had been killed several days prior. There are unconfirmed reports that the deceased were all members of the same family. The Vida y Esperanza community is located about 5 kilometers west of federal highway 307, near Punta Maroma.
