In the Tumben Chilam neighborhood of Playa Del Carmen, four cats have tragically been found poisoned. The local community is calling on the municipal government to investigate these disturbing incidents.

The cases were reported to the Municipal Animal Welfare Center (Cebiam). The residents expressed their frustration to the public official who arrived to document the incident and register the deceased feline pets.

The community members proposed that the pets should be buried rather than discarded in abandoned green spaces. This would prevent unpleasant odors and potential environmental pollution from the poison that was used.

One resident highlighted the importance of safeguarding pets, stating, "We need to protect our pets, as unfortunately, there will always be malicious individuals out there."
