Diego Castañón Trejo, the Municipal President of Tulum, has supplied the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (Zofemat) with four quad bikes. The purpose is to bolster the maintenance and security measures on the beaches, particularly during the sargassum seaweed influx season.

At the handover event, Castañón Trejo praised the dedication and hard work of the team responsible for maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the beaches at this popular tourist spot. He stressed that the primary reason for procuring this equipment is to improve and ease the working conditions of those who confront the daily challenges posed by the natural occurrence of sargassum seaweed.

Juan Antonio Garza, the director of Zofemat, disclosed that the four vehicles given are Suzuki King Quad 500 quad bikes. They were purchased with a budget specifically set aside to enhance operational tasks on the beaches.

Garza stated, "President Diego Castañón is committed to providing staff with suitable equipment to make their jobs more efficient and straightforward. These quad bikes will be instrumental in enhancing security operations and accelerating the collection of sargassum."

With this contribution, the municipal government of Tulum reiterates its dedication to continually improve the state of its beaches. This not only benefits the local community but also tourists from both national and international origins, thus bolstering the city's appeal as a tourist destination.
