Four individuals have been implicated in drug trafficking and violent activities in Tulum. The State Attorney General's Office has successfully connected these individuals to the proceedings, and a Control Judge has ordered their preventative detention for a year, or until the end of the trial.
The suspects, identified as Darwin "N", Alexis Armando "N", Wilbert "N", and Gabriel "N", were apprehended by Investigation Police officers while driving through Tulum. During the arrest, officers seized bags of marijuana, firearms, including an AK-47 rifle, and a vehicle allegedly used for criminal activities.
According to investigations by the FGE, the suspects are members of a criminal group known for causing violence in Tulum. They are suspected to be involved in several recent homicides in the area. The Prosecutor's Office presented evidence that led the Control Judge to link the suspects to drug trafficking charges, specifically the distribution of marijuana. The four suspects have been ordered to preventative detention and will remain in custody for at least a year as the legal proceedings against them continue.
