The Prosecutor's Office of Quintana Roo has seized four properties in the coastal area of Tulum. The affected businesses include the Alumbra Hotel and Kitchen Table, Akku’un Hotel, La Esquina Restaurant, and Kira’s Beach House. The seizures were carried out by the property crimes unit.

Approximately 20 police units arrived at the scene, located at kilometer 5 on the Tulum-Boca Paila road. The operation was conducted by the northern zone investigation police, who were responsible for closing the properties. All seized properties are now under the control of the relevant authorities.

Employees of the affected establishments have claimed the seizures were unwarranted. They also reported instances of theft during the operation, targeting both staff and the businesses themselves. Additionally, they expressed their frustration at the lack of prior warning, which caused significant inconvenience and disruption for their customers.
