A vehicle accident occurred this morning on Federal Highway 307, near the Puerto Aventuras mayor's office. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, only financial losses.
The incident happened when a Nissan Estaquitas pickup truck, with the license plate YR 4767 D, suffered a burst rear tire while heading north. This happened right in front of the Dorado Seaside Hotel. The sudden tire blowout caused the driver to lose control of the truck, resulting in it tipping onto its side. This left fruits and vegetables scattered all over the road.
Despite the severity of the accident, both the driver and passenger were unhurt. Following the incident, they called for assistance. A tow truck was dispatched to the scene to remove the damaged vehicle, thanks to their 911 call.
Additionally, another truck from the same distribution company was sent to collect the strewn merchandise from the road. The National Guard's road division also arrived at the scene. Their role was to determine who was responsible for the accident and ensure that the situation was handled correctly.
