Gino Segura, a candidate from the "Let's Continue Making History" coalition, has pledged to prioritize the needs of indigenous communities. His commitment was made during a visit to the San Francisco community in the municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas. Segura, alongside mayoral candidate Nivardo Mena and local deputy candidate Alberto Batún Chulim, engaged with local residents, listening to their ideas and suggestions for improving their community.

The candidates received enthusiastic support from young people and women in the community, who expressed their desire to continue the transformation of Quintana Roo. Segura emphasized the importance of supporting indigenous communities in this transformation. "In this fourth transformation, we have prioritized aid for our indigenous communities. We aim to rectify the longstanding neglect and social injustice they have suffered," Segura told the residents.

He further stated that, in partnership with Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, they will continue to acknowledge and enhance the cultural richness and productivity of these original communities. As he concluded his visit, Segura urged everyone to vote for the "Let's Continue Making History" coalition on June 2. He emphasized that this vote is an opportunity to advance the rights of the people and promote well-being for all.
