In recognition of International Tourism Day, Grupo Piñero renews its dedication to sustainability and social responsibility. The company has been actively involved in various initiatives with local organizations and has participated in significant environmental projects in the Mexican Caribbean.

Contributing Locally: Supporting the Itzé Nah Community

Grupo Piñero has been focusing on boosting local tourism and community support. In a recent collaboration with the Itzé Nah organization of Puerto Aventuras, the company organized an educational trip to the archaeological ruins of Tulum. This event benefited a group of 42 individuals, comprising 22 children, 10 adults from the center, and 10 representatives from Grupo Piñero.

Autotur and Yellow Bus suppliers provided transportation free of charge as part of their commitment to this social cause. Antonia del Toro, Global ESG Director of Grupo Piñero, stated, "We strongly believe in the value of strengthening our connections with the local community and offering cultural and educational enrichment opportunities for younger generations. Initiatives like these underscore the role of tourism as a catalyst for positive change."

In addition to the trip, Grupo Piñero donated a range of educational materials to Itzé Nah, including blackboards, notebooks, pencils, and other essential items for children. These donations aim to enhance the educational conditions for the children and further support the community's development.

Environmental Dedication: Involvement in Reforestation Projects

In terms of environmental commitment, Grupo Piñero was invited by the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Quintana Roo (SEDETUR) to participate in the poster exhibition of the 3rd Climate Action Forum in the Mexican Caribbean. This event showcased pioneering reforestation and coastal dune restoration projects.

Alongside other leading hotel chains like Iberostar, Moon Palace, and Xcaret, Grupo Piñero shared the progress of their initiatives in ecosystem restoration and natural environment protection in the region. Antonia del Toro emphasized, "Environmental care is a key aspect of our sustainability strategy. We continue to collaborate on projects that aim to preserve biodiversity and reduce the impact of climate change on our coastal areas." She further reaffirmed the Group's dedication to conserving the natural environment.

Through these actions, Grupo Piñero continues to solidify its position as a leader in promoting responsible and sustainable tourism, underscoring the importance of caring for both the environment and the people in the destinations where it operates.
