Upgraded Health Facilities Boost Public Healthcare in Tulum

Tulum, Q. Roo.- Tulum's Municipal President, Diego Castañón Trejo, has been overseeing the renovation, expansion, and construction of health houses in Chemuyil, Macario Gómez, and Manuel Antonio Ay.

Significant progress has been made on these projects. The Chemuyil health house is being restored and expanded, with an investment of $2,988,120.44 pesos from FAISMUN. This project will benefit 548 residents.

In Macario Gómez, a new Health Center is being constructed, with an investment of $4,995,327.24 pesos. This will serve 884 residents in the area.

The health house in Manuel Antonio Ay is also being restored and remodeled, with an investment of $1,995,267.59 pesos. This will provide improved healthcare services for 621 residents.

Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo stressed the importance of these projects in each community. He stated that these new and improved facilities will enhance public healthcare, allowing families to access services without leaving their hometowns. He also noted that these investments will help reduce inequality and improve the quality of life for families in areas that have been neglected for years.

"We are committed to strengthening public healthcare and we will continue to do so relentlessly, with a transparent, honest, and results-oriented government," he said, addressing the families from the three communities visited.
