A man, known as Alexis "N", has been sentenced to a prison term of 43 years and 9 months following his conviction for the murder of his ex-partner. The crime occurred three years ago in the Alamos neighborhood, witnessed by their daughter. The State Attorney General's Office has released a statement outlining the sentence, which also includes a fine of 228,600 pesos and compensation for material damages totaling 623,499 pesos.

The incident occurred on August 2, 2020, when the victim, Alexis "N"'s former partner, was at her home on Orquídeas Street in Supermanzana 311, Benito Juarez. The attack took place at approximately 2 a.m., shortly after she had celebrated her 24th birthday.

The Attorney General's Office reports that Alexis "N" assaulted the woman, identified by the initials L.J.S.G., with a knife, inflicting a fatal chest wound. He then attempted to disguise the murder as a suicide by cutting her left wrist, all while their young daughter was present.

After the crime, Alexis "N" fled the scene but was apprehended by police a few days later. He will serve his sentence in the city jail.
