The Impression Makers Supper Club recently celebrated its second edition at the Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets hotel, featuring renowned New York chef Stefano Secchi. This exclusive gastronomic event series, hosted by Hyatt Hotels Corporation, is part of their Impression by Secrets brand, which falls under Hyatt's Inclusive Collection. Each edition collaborates with some of the world's top chefs, and this year, they were delighted to work with chef Stefano Secchi.
Secchi, a Michelin-starred chef, is known for his work at the Rezdôra restaurant in New York City and the newly opened Massara restaurants. Less than a year after its successful launch, the Impression Makers Supper Club 2024 provided unique experiences in exclusive restaurants at the destination. These included the Impression Moxché by Secrets resorts in Playa del Carmen and Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets, both located in Quintana Roo.
The event offers a special tasting menu curated by Chef Secchi and the skilled culinary team of Impression by Secrets. Diners can select their preferred culinary destination in a stunning, intimate setting at both hotels. We had the pleasure of attending one of these collaborative dinners at the Spezia restaurant, in Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets, where we savored dishes crafted by Chef Secchi.
The dishes were inspired by Secchi's latest culinary concept, Massara, and were complemented with exclusive elements from master chef Paolo Parlanti, from Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets. The chef paid homage to the Italian region of Campania, blending traditional antipasti and grilled seafood with Mayan, Spanish, and Caribbean flavors. The seven-course dinner, paired with Italian wines, was available to a limited number of guests, including both resort guests and locals. For those wishing to extend their culinary journey, the collaboration with Chef Secchi will continue with a menu available at both resorts.
