Shocking Discovery: Human Skeleton Found by Cancún Highway

A human skeleton, along with several other bones, was discovered this afternoon near the Cancún-Leona Vicario highway. The police were alerted to the presence of these remains by a call made to the emergency number 911 around 3:30 pm.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police officers confirmed the discovery of a human skull and various bones. They immediately requested support from the State Attorney General's Office.

The area where the remains were found was promptly cordoned off. Forensic experts were called in to oversee the investigation and to ensure the proper transportation of the remains to the Forensic Medical Service facilities for further examination.
