Cancun International Airport in Quintana Roo has announced the cancellation of flights from Cozumel to Cancun as a precautionary measure against the impending Hurricane Beryl. Southeast Airports (ASUR) confirmed that due to the hurricane's projected path towards the Yucatan Peninsula, flights between Cozumel and Cancun will be suspended starting 3:30 pm on Thursday, July 4.
Governor Mara Lezama has communicated this decision, noting that both airports are currently operating as usual. However, while commercial flights scheduled for Thursday, July 4 will proceed as planned, Southeast Airports advises passengers to maintain direct contact with their airlines for potential updates regarding their travel plans in the region.
