Hurricane Milton, a powerful storm, has left a trail of destruction in some coastal towns of Yucatan. Social media images show a house in the port of Chuburná completely devastated by the storm.

The affected property was owned by a foreign family. Anticipating the storm's threat, they chose to evacuate to Mérida, a safer location. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported so far. The local staff employed by the family also sought refuge in safer areas.

One of the staff members, who carries out domestic duties for the family, found the building entirely destroyed when he returned to assess the damage on Tuesday morning. State authorities are still in the process of evaluating the extent of the destruction caused by Hurricane Milton. However, it is anticipated that the damage in other areas may not be as severe.

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) reports that Hurricane Milton has now moved away from the Yucatan Peninsula. It is strengthening to a category 5 hurricane and is projected to hit Florida. The storm is expected to make landfall with significant impact on Wednesday night in Tampa Bay.
