“Exciting TriYucatan 2024 Triathlon: Sept 7-8 at Costa Club Hotel!”

The first-ever Yucatan 2024 Triathlon (TriYucatan) is set to take place on September 7 and 8 at the Costa Club Hotel in Yucalpetén. This event is expected to draw around 600 competitors from the southeastern states of Mexico and beyond. The initiative aims to boost the popularity of the triathlon discipline and promote tourism in the Yucatan region.

Triathlon is a rapidly growing sport in the state and across the Yucatan Peninsula. It is an excellent avenue for promoting sports tourism, which in turn benefits the local economy where the events are held. The TriYucatan is a comprehensive race, involving swimming, cycling, and athletics, requiring athletes to be well-prepared to compete.

The race is scheduled to begin at 6:00 am, with medical services, recovery areas, and participant kits all provided. There is a prize pool of over 50,000 pesos, which will be awarded to the overall winners in the sprint category. Additionally, prizes will be given to the winners of each division and branch.

Registration for the event is now open on the website www.eventosvolare.com.
