Island Women’s Group Rescues Alive Missing Persons

In the past four months, the Island Women's Searchers, a group dedicated to finding Fernanda Cayetana, has conducted nearly 50 independent searches. During these searches, they have successfully located five people alive. Deysi Blanco Chi, the group's president, stated that they sometimes collaborate with other causes for support. She also emphasized that they have never accepted money to undermine the government.

"Since starting my independent group four months ago, we have conducted over 45 searches," Blanco Chi said. "On average, we carry out approximately 10 searches per month." Blanco Chi, whose daughter Fernanda Cayetana has been missing since July 21, 2023, shared that their efforts have resulted in the successful location of five women.

There are still nine individuals missing from Island Women alone, so the group continues their investigations and planning for future actions. Blanco Chi expressed her frustration with the authorities, stating they are not doing enough to help. As a result, the group continues their work independently, without any support.
