Kabah State Ecological Park in Cancún is turning 29. To mark this occasion, the Benito Juárez City Council and the Government of Quintana Roo are hosting a festival on Friday, November 8, starting at 8:45 a.m.
The event is being coordinated by the Institute of Biodiversity and Protected Natural Areas (IBANQROO) of Quintana Roo and the General Directorate of Ecology of Benito Juárez. It will take place on the Chacá esplanade within the park itself.
The day will be filled with a range of activities. These include the unveiling of a commemorative sign, a puppet theater for children, the traditional cake-cutting ceremony, and the reopening of play and exercise areas.
Kabah State Ecological Park is a vital part of the city's ecosystem and a key site for local biodiversity conservation.
Those planning to attend are advised to bring sun protection and mosquito repellent. Comfortable clothing and sneakers are recommended, along with a keen enthusiasm to enjoy a day of community fun.
