The government has sanctioned the acquisition of 6.1 hectares of land in El Tintal ejido, located in the Lázaro Cárdenas municipality, for the establishment of a Mayan Train substation. This is a part of the federal project's section 4.
This instance is one of the most recent demonstrations of public utility for the project. The project has necessitated thousands of hectares in Quintana Roo for the railway's construction. The acquired properties will be handed over to Fonatur and CFE, as outlined in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).
The acquisition, initiated by the CFE from Sedatu in November 2023, will result in a payment of 2,453,237 pesos to the landowners of Lázaro Cárdenas, following a property assessment.
Despite the decline in the number of acquisition decrees, there may still be more in the pipeline for the Mayan Train project in the future.
