Lili Campos, a candidate for the municipal presidency of Solidaridad from the Fuerza y Corazón por Quintana Roo alliance, which includes the PAN and PRI, has reiterated her proposal to install two police checkpoints at the borders with Tulum and Puerto Morelos.
Campos emphasized that these measures will enhance the security of Solidaridad, preventing bodies of victims from crimes committed elsewhere from being dumped in the area. "The new checkpoints, part of our planned improvements, will be positioned about 50 meters from the border with Tulum and a similar distance north towards Puerto Morelos," she stated.
In addition to this, Campos plans to further bolster the security of Solidaridad, one of the safest municipalities in Quintana Roo, by installing 500 additional surveillance cameras. These cameras will be equipped with technology capable of detecting human faces and vehicle license plates.
Campos recently visited the Villamar Uno neighborhood in Playa del Carmen, where she received support from local residents. They expressed their approval of her plans to improve Solidaridad, citing positive outcomes in cleanliness, street lighting, and public safety.
