A 32-year-old man, Carlos Enrique, was recently rescued from a precarious situation under a pier in Cancún's hotel zone. He had found himself trapped beneath the Lorenzillos restaurant pier, attempting to evade a crocodile over two meters in length. The fire department's swift response was instrumental in his rescue.

Early Sunday morning, around six o'clock, an emergency call was received about a man stuck under the pier on Kukulcán boulevard's 11th kilometer.

Upon reaching the scene, the firefighters discovered Carlos Enrique trapped beneath the wooden flooring of the Lorenzillos restaurant, with a 2.5-meter crocodile lurking just below him.

After gaining approval from the security officer, the firefighters proceeded to remove the floorboards, successfully freeing Carlos Enrique, who thankfully remained unscathed.

Following the rescue, Carlos Enrique was arrested for the damages he had caused and was subsequently transported to the Tourist Police base.

Despite his terrifying ordeal, Carlos Enrique did not require any medical treatment and was handed over to the relevant authorities.

This incident underscores the vital role of emergency services, whose quick and effective response saved a man from a potentially lethal crocodile attack. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of having such services ready to handle extreme situations.
