In the municipality of Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo, law enforcement agencies have successfully executed a search and seizure operation on a residence that had been transformed into a marijuana greenhouse. The operation was a joint effort between the State Attorney General's Office, the National Guard, and the Secretary of National Defense.
The property, located on Paseo del Prado street in Supermanzana 331, was under the jurisdiction of the Investigation Police attached to the Special Prosecutor's Office for Combatting Drug Trafficking. Upon inspection, the authorities discovered bags of synthetic material containing dried green plants, along with glass pipes. They also found pots filled with green plants exhibiting characteristics typical of marijuana.
In addition to the plants, the house contained a specially designed room for dehydrating the cultivated plants. Following the operation, law enforcement officials sealed the property, indicating that it has been secured and is no longer operational.
The collected evidence has been handed over to the appropriate authorities. It will be included in the ongoing investigation file related to crimes against health in the form of drug trafficking.
