Explore Southeast Mexico with New Maya Train Travel Packages

The federal government has announced the launch of several new travel packages for exploring Southeast Mexico via the Maya Train. These packages include flights, accommodation, and transportation between each city. The Maya Train travel packages, in conjunction with flights from a Mexican airline and stays in the project's exclusive hotels, offer a comprehensive travel experience for those keen to explore Southeast Mexico.

The packages include transfers from Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and allow travelers to explore 40 municipalities and 181 locations through the train's 20 stations. Attractions include 50 archaeological zones, 14 Magic Towns, and six World Heritage sites.

Each package is tailored to different interests, such as ecotourism, gastronomy, Mayan culture, and relaxation tourism. The trains themselves feature comfortable carriages and dining services offering traditional dishes from Southeast Mexico. The six Maya Train Hotels, run by the government, are strategically located for easy access to sites like Palenque, Calakmul, Chichén Itzá, and Tulum.

The "Gems of Mexican Culture" package includes four days and three nights of accommodation, round trip flights, six meals at the hotel, a tour on the Maya Train, and transportation to three highlighted destinations: Tulum, Bacalar, and Calakmul, including a visit to the archaeological zone. The total price is 14,512 pesos.

The "Route of Wonders" package includes accommodation for four days and three nights, round trip flights, six meals at the hotel, a journey on the Maya Train, and transportation to explore Mérida and Valladolid. It also includes visits to the archaeological zones of Ek Balam and Chichén Itzá. Both packages include flights departing and returning from the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) with the airline "Mexicana". Accommodation is provided in 4-star category hotels of the Maya Train.

The Maya Train is one of Mexico's most ambitious infrastructure projects, designed to boost tourism, the economy, and sustainability in the country's southeast. The 1,554-kilometer route cuts through five states (Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo), connecting local communities with tourist destinations, archaeological zones, and nature reserves. It offers a unique experience for both national and international tourists.
