The 6th annual National Cheese Ball Festival in Mérida is set to take place this weekend, offering a unique way to celebrate Valentine's Day. The festival will feature a variety of dishes and desserts, all centered around the delicious cheese ball.

The festival organizers announced on Wednesday, February 12, that the event will also include an artistic and cultural program. Local musicians and a DJ will provide entertainment, adding to the lively atmosphere. Attendees can look forward to a range of cheese ball-based dishes, including pizzas and pastas, as well as drinks, popsicles, and desserts. The iconic Pino Cider, known for its unique vanilla and banana flavor, will also be available.

The festival will be held at the Gran Parque La Plancha square. It will run from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, and from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 16. At this location, vendors will showcase their products. The venue is perfect for families, with plenty of space and games for children. It's an ideal setting for eating, socializing, and enjoying time with family, friends, or a significant other.

After a 14-year hiatus due to a labor dispute, the Pino Soda Bottling Company has resumed production of its traditional Pino Cider. The company, founded in 1888 by José María Pino Rusconi, will be present at the 6th National Cheese Ball Festival. The beloved beverage is a part of Yucatecan history, having grown in popularity until it became one of the most cherished brands in the Yucatán Peninsula.
