Mexican Navy Seizes 22.750kg Cocaine Bundle

The Mexican Navy, under the auspices of the Ninth Naval Region, has reported the seizure of a large bundle containing 24 packages of a white powder, believed to be cocaine. The bundle was found in Quintana Roo, a state on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.

The discovery was made during a routine patrol and surveillance operation along the coastline by naval personnel. They received a tip-off from a local citizen who reported finding the bundle on a beach near a hotel, situated on the Cancún – Playa del Carmen highway.

Upon arriving at the scene, the naval team located the bundle as described in the report. Inside, they found 24 packages of a white powder, bearing the characteristics of cocaine. The total weight of the packages was approximately 22.750 kilograms.

The suspected narcotics have been handed over to the Attorney General's Office in Cancún, Quintana Roo, where an official investigation is now underway.
