“Exclusive: Mexican President’s Visit to Maya Train and Sedena Air Base Unveiled!”

Mexico's President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, recently visited the seven construction sites of the Maya Train project, as well as the Air Base of the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena). The Air Base is currently being converted into a civilian airport in the state of Yucatan.

During his visit, Lopez Obrador emphasized the significance of the Maya Train project for the southeastern region of Mexico. He noted that the infrastructure would play a pivotal role in revitalizing the economy and boosting tourism in the area. He also praised the collaboration between Sedena and the Secretary of Communications and Transport in executing the project efficiently.

The President also confirmed that studies are underway to assess the environmental and social impact of the construction. The aim is to ensure the rights of indigenous communities are upheld and the natural environment is preserved.

The Maya Train project is a key initiative of the Lopez Obrador administration, aimed at fostering development and enhancing connectivity in the southeastern region of Mexico. The construction of the train is anticipated to create jobs and stimulate economic growth for the local community, while also promoting sustainable tourism in the region.
