Man Sentenced to 30 Years for Raping Minor in Puerto Morelos

A man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison by a Quintana Roo judge for raping a minor in Puerto Morelos. The State Attorney General's Office of Quintana Roo (FGEQROO) announced the sentence in an official statement. The convicted man, 30-year-old Victor Daniel "N", was given this severe penalty after the Prosecutor's Office Specializing in Combating Crimes Against Sexual Freedom and Free Personality Development provided sufficient evidence for his crime.

The convicted man had established contact with the minor on social media a few weeks prior, gaining her trust until she agreed to meet him at a park in Leona Vicario, her hometown. According to the victim, Victor Daniel "N" persuaded her to go with him to his residence. They traveled there on his motorcycle, and it was at this location where he committed the rape.

During a hearing on sanctions and reparations for the damage, the judge not only sentenced the defendant to prison but also ordered him to pay 192,440 pesos for material and moral damages, as well as a fine of 21,000 pesos.
