In the picturesque region of Quintana Roo, water springs have been mysteriously appearing along the coastline. Just a few days ago, these springs were spotted off the island of Cozumel. On Sunday, June 24, both tourists and locals were treated to the sight of several water springs along the beaches of Playa del Carmen.
This rare phenomenon has piqued the interest of many, but it's advised to keep a safe distance from the water flow despite the lack of immediate danger.
These intriguing water springs are actually the result of rainwater filtration, returning to the sea to complete its natural cycle. They have become a source of fascination for visitors and residents alike in this popular Riviera Maya destination.
The water springs were visible between 8th and 10th North streets. Despite the cloudy skies brought on by inclement weather, the sea of Quintana Roo maintains its captivating beauty. Unsurprisingly, the less than perfect weather conditions haven't deterred local, national, or international tourists from enjoying the stunning beaches of the state.
