The Solidaridad Municipality is seeking answers from the company responsible for maintaining public transport stops during the previous administration. The company, Grupo Cervera, has been identified but has so far ignored requests for information.

Javier Renán Santos Morales, the sixth councillor and president of the Mobility Commission, has reported that the company is contractually obligated to maintain these structures. However, due to their negligence, road signs have decayed, causing problems for public transport vehicles when picking up or dropping off passengers at designated stops. Despite complaints about the condition of the stops, the municipality is currently in a conciliatory stage, awaiting the company's response.

During the previous administration, over 30 new stops were constructed throughout Playa del Carmen to improve the mobility of residents. These stops, primarily located from downtown to neighborhoods and subdivisions in the city's west, were built to accommodate the growing population. Additionally, a large bus stop was built in the university area to cater to the high demand from students. However, these locations have rapidly deteriorated, sparking controversy and raising questions about who should be held accountable for their upkeep.
