New $2.7 Billion Investment in Cancun-Costa Mujeres Tourist Boulevard

Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has confirmed that the new Tourist Boulevard, stretching from Cancun to Costa Mujeres, will soon become a reality. This project was one of the strategic proposals presented to Mexico's first female President before she took office. For several months, Governor Lezama has been leading negotiations with Claudia Sheinbaum's team to secure resources that will have a significant social and economic impact on the state.

The project will receive a federal investment of over 2.7 billion pesos and is expected to generate more than 500 jobs. "We are preparing for the expansion and construction of over 25 kilometers of road that will connect Cancun with Costa Mujeres. In this second phase of Quintana Roo's transformation, this project is and will remain a priority!" said Governor Lezama.

The Governor emphasized the project's importance for social justice, stating that the expansion of existing sections will greatly improve the main transportation route used by workers in the tourism industry. "We are taking steps to improve the daily commute for the very people who are at the heart of our tourism leadership," she added.

The new boulevard will start from Lopez Portillo Avenue and pass through Costa Mujeres to La Angostura, significantly improving the welfare and quality of life for local residents. "In this New Era of Transformation, we are governing in a new way – not from a desk, but from the ground. We are committed to fulfilling our promises and working to make them a reality, hand in hand with the first President of Mexico," said Governor Lezama.
