The rapidly expanding community of Puerto Aventuras has identified a need for a larger, more comprehensive market. Local authorities, including town mayor Gilberto Gómez, have noted that the current market, with only 20 stores, is inadequate for the growing population. The lack of space and services is a significant issue that needs addressing.
To combat this, plans are in motion to construct a new market. This would provide Puerto Aventuras with a suitable and fitting space to meet the community's needs. The municipal government of Solidaridad is being urged to consider allocating a property and the necessary resources to make this project a reality.
The popular Tianguis Valentín, which operates three times a week behind the town hall, is also under consideration for expansion. If it were to become a permanent market, it would require additional space and parking facilities.
The proposed daily service market aims to do more than just meet the community's supply needs. It also seeks to boost local commerce and provide a safe, accessible space for both buyers and sellers.
