State Capital Under Water: Severe Flooding Crisis!

Residents of the state capital are grappling with a crisis that is impacting both their economy and safety. The current rainy season has led to severe flooding, prompting locals to call on authorities for a definitive solution to protect their wellbeing.

Ernesto Santos highlighted that the 2024 rainy season has been particularly heavy, resulting in flooding in streets and homes in many neighborhoods. Despite the recurring issue, no permanent solution has been implemented. The problem is exacerbated by uncleaned sewers and litter in the streets.

Clemente Tec believes that the widespread issue of flooding and pooling in the city stems from authorities' lack of interest in improving the state capital's image.

According to Leonardo Chan, part of the problem lies with residents who litter, and authorities who fail to perform their duties promptly. The heavy rains in recent days have led to issues with puddles and flooding in the streets.

Luis Ramón Gómez feels that the state capital deserves better. The increasing number of potholes and puddles, coupled with a lack of a comprehensive clutter removal campaign, is a sign of neglect. He laments that residents have grown accustomed to these conditions.

Luis Flores pointed out that the first block of the city is littered with garbage, which clogs the sewers and creates puddles whenever it rains. He supports the implementation of fines for littering.

Ángel López noted the lack of effort in cleaning streets and avenues, as evidenced by the overgrown grass on sidewalks.

Víctor Romero acknowledged that while there were reports of flooded houses last month, recent street puddles are due to the season's intense rains.

Filiberto Santos criticized the authorities for neglecting the city's image, focusing on other matters instead of improving living conditions for residents. He cited the frequent flooding in streets and neighborhoods during heavy rains as an example.

Finally, Ángel Gatori expressed frustration over the deteriorated streets filled with potholes and garbage. He believes that this unresolved issue indicates a lack of intent from the authorities to address citizens' complaints.
