A home in the Bali neighborhood, south of Playa del Carmen Boulevard, was burglarized, with over half a million dollars, jewelry, Armani watches, and a laptop stolen. The victim reported the theft to the Preventive Municipal Police late on Thursday evening.
Upon returning home around 10:30 p.m., the victim found items scattered on the floor and the back door forced open. A quick inventory revealed that his safe, which held over half a million dollars – equivalent to 8,335,000 pesos – along with the other valuable items, had been stolen.
The police promptly secured the residence and awaited the arrival of the State Attorney General's Office. The latter will be responsible for conducting the procedures and investigations necessary to shed light on this high-value burglary.
