A pedestrian tragically lost his life after being hit by a van on the Calderitas-Luis Echeverría road in Chetumal. The driver attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by another motorist just a few meters ahead.
The pedestrian was fatally injured due to the high-speed impact and died instantly at the scene. Following the incident, the driver responsible for the accident was swiftly arrested by local authorities.
