A woman was hit by a van on López Portillo Avenue in Cancún this Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred directly outside the 'City of Joy' foundation.
The vehicle, a white van bearing Quintana Roo license plates ES-8903-C and identified as B-13, failed to yield at a pedestrian crossing. The woman, who was crossing at the time, was struck by the van.
Emergency medical services from the SUMS company promptly arrived at the scene. The woman had sustained injuries to various parts of her body and required immediate medical attention. Traffic accident specialists were also dispatched to the location.
Due to the severity of her injuries, the woman was transported to a nearby hospital. Traffic officers remained at the scene to conduct further investigations and ensure accountability.
