The agreement will allow Playa del Carmen's municipal government to improve financial management and performance, protect public resources, and provide assurance about the achievement of the city's objectives and institutional goals.
Secretary Arceo Rosado praised Mayor Mercado's efforts towards efficient and transparent public administration. She noted that Playa del Carmen is the fourth municipality to sign such an agreement and that work is ongoing with other municipalities.
