The City Theater was abuzz with applause, emotion, and creativity during the 2025 edition of DIF Got Talent. This event has become a platform for the artistic talent of the community, featuring participants of all ages and abilities. Promoted by the DIF Playa del Carmen System and honorarily presided over by Eduardo Asencio, the cultural gala reaffirmed the institutional commitment to inclusion, culture, and social cohesion.

Eduardo Asencio emphasized the importance of such events in allowing individuals to express themselves and develop their artistic skills. He stated, “This is more than just a show. We know that our municipality is home to individuals of all ages with extraordinary abilities that deserve recognition. The municipal DIF is proud to provide these opportunities for expression. We strongly believe in the transformative power of art and culture to inspire hearts and strengthen community ties.”

On behalf of the mayor, Estefanía Mercado, Secretary of Social Justice and Citizen Participation, Deyanira Martínez, praised the event's promotion of artistic and inclusive expression in Playa del Carmen. She noted that such initiatives align with a government vision that provides a platform for everyone to shine, regardless of age, condition, or social context. The judging panel, composed of notable figures from the art and culture sector, agreed on the difficulty of choosing winners due to the high caliber of participants in disciplines like singing, circus art, and stage performance.

The DIF Got Talent 2025 event recognized artists across different categories:

  • Adult Singing: First place went to Misael, Alejandro, and Adrián Lambarrí.
  • Circus Art: Franklin Martínez won first place, with second place awarded to Leticia López Martínez.
  • Children's Singing: Karen Ixzel Olaya took first place, while Clara Xiomara was recognized for her talent.
  • Singing for Persons with Disabilities: Miguel Ramón Morán won first place, and Aída Jiménez López took second place.

These performances captivated the audience, showcasing not only technical skills but also passion, discipline, and artistic sensitivity. The event was organized by the Coordination of Recreation, Culture, and Sport (RECUDE), a DIF body dedicated to promoting activities that strengthen cultural and community identity. This initiative is part of the actions promoted by the municipal administration of Estefanía Mercado, which prioritizes social justice and cultural inclusion. Through such events, DIF Playa del Carmen continues to work towards creating a more inclusive, participatory, and creative municipality, where everyone's talent can find a stage and an appreciative audience.
