The Typical Orchestra of Playa del Carmen, consisting of 15 members, recently made its debut at the "Xaman Há" City Theater. The community warmly embraced the orchestra, which offers a new musical experience for both locals and tourists.

The municipal president, Estefanía Mercado, extended a welcome message to the orchestra. Under the leadership of Maestra Liliam Lima, the musicians performed a variety of pieces. These included "Te amaré toda la vida" by Javier Solís, "Peregrina" by poet Luis Rosado and set to music by Ricardo Palmerín, and "Aunque me cueste la vida" by Sonora Matancera.

The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive. The musicians, who have dedicated much time and effort to join the orchestra, received substantial support. The orchestra is sponsored by the Municipal Institute of Culture and Arts of Solidaridad (IMCAS), under the direction of Santiago Ernesto Martínez Cuellar.

Vocalists Mayré Rosas and Arturo de la Cruz performed various songs from the program, earning applause from the audience. The orchestra features a diverse range of instruments, including trumpets, an electric piano and bass, violin, cello, flute, drums, fiscorn, and trombone.

The repertoire also featured "Bésame mucho" and "Bonito y Sabroso", along with a selection of bolero medleys. The enthusiastic applause and calls for an encore at the end of the performance signified the success of the orchestra's debut.
